What's New in Artworks Basic v1.8+?
Version 1.8+ includes the following...
Underlay Buttons expanded from 9 to 12: The Underlay toolbar is designed for value and grisaille underpainting studies.
Artellmedia Subscription Key for Online Downloads: Artworks Basic now requires a special subscription key to work.
The subscription key (called the "askey code") enables those who are registered with us for online downloads to use updates that have been released during their subscription period (one year). The updates are only available in electronic form and all updates released before the subscription expiry date will always work.
HOW TO PRE-REGISTER FOR ONLINE UPDATES
Current Member Registration
If you have a license to Artworks Basic 1.7.2.6 or earlier, you will need your Member ID to pre-register for subscription updates. Your Member ID is located inside the cover of your CD-ROM (jewel) case. It starts with "DS-" and followed by three letters and five numbers (e.g. DS-USA10501).

Name, Member ID, City, State or Province, and Country
If your email is different from the one we have on file, we may ask you a verification question like... "what is your zip or postal code?" or ask you for part of your serial number.

Once verified, we will send you your login information with instructions to pre-register. Details on the registration process are forthcoming. The registration to approval process will take 24 hours or less on business days Monday to Friday. Those with versions 1.7.2.6 or earlier will receive a subscription key for free "electronic" updates lasting a minimum of one (1) year starting in May 2007.
New Member Registration
Those who order Artworks Basic 1.8 or higher will receive your Member ID with shipping notice by email. This happens once payment is confirmed and your CD package is scheduled for shipment. A serial number with subscription key is sent with the CD-ROM.
Once our download service is ready, those who order Artworks Basic 1.8 or higher will also receive instructions by email for registering with us for "electronic" updates.
